Stop Plastic
Painted in the seaside village of Casalabate for 167/B Street, this vertical piece condenses a deep-sea ecosystem into a dark oval floating on the white facade: an armored surreal fish with a glowing eye, a neon-pink jellyfish and an orange crustacean tangled together in dense bio-organic detail. True to its title, the mural gives marine life the leading role in an anti-plastic message, painted just steps from the sea.
