Tree of Life

Tree of Life is part of the T.R.U.St project in the Salinella district of Taranto. The solid, resilient trunks hold up great branches that form a heart framing the world. In the background, the first light of dawn rises on the horizon, symbolizing hope for a new awakening and a new rebirth. Within it, everything is perfectly balanced: from the branches spring different creatures that, by coexisting and helping one another, manage to preserve their habitat. The two main characters are busy keeping the tree alive by offering the water that will feed this perfect cycle, while the others contribute to freedom and rebirth.

But not everything goes the right way. A bee — a creature vital to our ecosystem — is trapped in the steel plant, and a bird, itself locked in a cage, tries in vain to free it. We all depend on every living being, from the smallest to the largest, and only by standing united and supporting each other can we preserve the world and all its forms of life, avoiding extinction and the definitive destruction of our wonderful habitat.
